Our apartment is split on three floors. From the entrance, climbing few steps, our guests will find a bright living room with a double sofa bed and a beautiful fireplace, a big bathroom with shower, a studio with another sofa bed and an elegant double bedroom. Going up to the middle floor, a large and traditional kitchen will be found. The decorations recall the history of the island (Sicilian maiolicas, iron details..),however the kitchen has been equipped with the comforts available nowadays. In the upper floor our guests will enjoy another double bedroom with a beautiful sloped roof and ancient wooden furniture, a twin room, an additional bathroom with shower, a large and bright dining room from which it can be gained access to the terrace, that provides a breath-taking view on the village’s roofs and on the mountains of Parco Naturale delle Madonie that surround the village. Our house has heating pumps for the mild sicilian winter.
Our house is located in Petralia Sottana, a beautiful small town in Parco Naturale delle Madonie, pearl of the backcountry of Palermo with a ancient historic heritage. Thanks to the archaeological discoveries the origin of the village is proved to be very ancient, with an heritage that goes back to the Greeks and Romans times, and through all the historic transitions. History isn’t the only beauty of Petralia: the town is also part of the “orange flag circuit” by Touring Club Italy, thanks to its high quality tourist and hospitality services. In addition to that, most of the area of the Parco delle Madonie belongs to Petralia, that is therefore a great base from where to start daily adventure within this amazing natural park. Petralia Soprana, included in the most beautiful hamlets of Italy, it is very close, and it also has a very rich historical and cultural heritage. Parco Naturale delle Madonie is perfect for outdoor activities, for example trekking, downhill and birdwatching.
Palermo is 100kms far: having the car allows to discover enchanted places on this hidden land.
